« Actu' TC saved my life »

High School can be frightening at first. That's what Julian thought when he first arrived in the IUT TC of Saint Nazaire. Indeed, Julian was anxious, didn't know anyone on his first day. He thought that as time passed by he would make some friends. The problem was that he didn't know how and where he would make some friends because Julian wasn't very good at socialising.

A suprising encounter

In his high school every new student in their first year had a mentor in second year who was there to help them. Julian's mentor was called Kate. She was really nice but, to the opposite of Julian she was really outgoing and had lots of friends. She oozed confidence which showed in her mannerisms and how she talked.

The obvious solution

Julian decided to ask her for some advice to solve his problems. Kate decided to show him the television news of the school that she watched every month called Actu'TC. She told him how it had helped her. Indeed, in these news reports the most important dates were mentioned like deadlines for work or dates for big events. She told him how practical it was especially when you were new at the school. She also told him how she had made some new friends thanks to Actu'TC because that's how she knew where to meet other students of the school. She told him that these television news videos were not only practical but, also entertaining and very funny. Lots of reports are done every month for everybody to know what is happening in the IUT TC and everything that's linked to it.

A new beginning

As a result Julian decided to watch the Actu'TC news every month. He surprised himself by making friends so easily (with quite a bit of help from Actu' TC) and was always the first to know what was going on and what was on the agenda of the IUT TC of Saint Nazaire.
